KBA is hiring a qualified Offshore Geophysical & Geotechnical Client representative to join our team. To supervise an Offshore Geophysical & Geotechnical survey including equipment. The Offshore Geophysical & Geotechnical Client representative shall participate in a planning meeting and a technical kick-off meeting before the field survey itself.
- Proven experience in the role of Client Representative at Geophysical & Geotechnical survey and positioning projects (Geophysical viz MBES, SBP, SSS, Magnetometer, digital 2D HR, survey / inspection, underwater engineering, geotechnical soil sample collection by drop core/piston core/drop core/vibro core, CPT, deep bore log samples; familiarity with dynamic positioning and position referencing systems, etc.) (to be provided)
- Strong knowledge of (managing) the execution phase of Geophysical & Geotechnical survey projects
- Strong knowledge of HSE standards and work methods in regards to Geophysical & Geotechnical survey projects
- Strong knowledge of equipment like MBES, SSS, SBP, Magnetometer, Soil sample Analogue / Digital and shallow seismic survey equipment.
- Familiar with the principal seismic computer software applications
Qualifications/ Knowledge/ Skill/ Experience as follows:
- B.Sc. in Geophysical and/or geodetic engineering from a recognised University, higher degree would be advantageous.
- Membership of a recognised professional engineering association (or institution), is preferable.
- A minimum of 10 years’ experience in Geophysical & Geotechnical surveying activities in the Oil & Gas Industry with an Oil & Gas Company or Consultant/Contractor, of which at least 5 years should have been in a Client Representative role for offshore Geophysical survey activities.
- Familiar with international Surveying codes and standards.
- Familiar with Surveying techniques and software.
- Experienced in the implementation of industry best practices and Company's systems, processes, and standards
- Strong technical, communication and presentation skills.

Requirements and qualifications as follows:
- Must have at least 5 years work experience as Diving Operations Supt., Diving CSR, Diving Advisor/Manager in offshore underwater IRM & construction activities
- Involved in vessel mobilisation/demobilisation
- Must have minimum 20 years working experience in underwater operations and Subsea engineering
- Must be fully conversant with all IMCA requirements
- Must be fully familiar with all underwater activities including construction, inspection and maintenance techniques and equipment
- Must be aware of relevant legislation/guidance in relation to underwater operations & safety
- Must be able to communicate (both written and spoken) in English fluently
- Must be capable of producing reports, audit documents, charts, forms, presentations, etc.
- Should have attended Client Worksite Representative training
- Preferably attended DP Awareness Course
- Preferably attended and passed NEBOSH National/International General Certificate in Health & Safety training.

IMCA Bell Diving supervisor certification
A minimum of 20 years in the offshore diving industry which includes:
- A minimum of 5 years working experience as diving supervisor.
- A minimum of 5 years work experience as Diving Operations Supt, Diving Company Site Representative (CSR), Diving Advisor, Diving Operations Manager in offshore underwater IRM (diving & ROV) & construction activities.
Attended Dynamic Positioning (DP) Awareness Course
Attended IOGP Client Worksite Representative training
Has experience of participating in IMCA DESIGN audits
Preferably holds a NEBOSH National/International General Certificate in Occupational Health & Safety
