Not forgetting that both KBA and KBAM are very busy with projects worldwide. While Rozani (KB Access trainer) is currently climbing un-climbed mountains in the Tien Shan mountain range in Central Asia that stretch’s across large tracts of China (Xinjiang), Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan. KB Access are pleased to be the Main Sponsor for this exciting venture.

Enjoy this news up date and we look forward to seeing you again soon.

KB Access instructor takes part in ‘Spirit of Singapore Expedition'

The Team  leaving Singapore Airport 2nd August from left to right:-
Grant Rawlinson; Mohd Rozani; David Lim

KB Access Pte Ltd, a Subsidiary Company of KB Associates Pte Ltd has joined the Spirit of Singapore Expedition as the Main Expedition Sponsor.

At KB Associates Pte Ltd social responsibility means taking into account the communities in which the Group operates, and also involves relations with their employees. We are therefore pleased we are able to sponsor this exciting adventure with the expedition team whom Mohd Rozani as the KB Access Senior Rope Access Technician trainer is a member of.

In pursuit of new frontiers this expedition exhibits the spirit of KB Associates and KB Access by seeking new challenges and striving to the highest level of Professionalism and Safety. We are proud to be a sponsor to this expedition.

The “ Spirit of Singapore Expedition 2009”, intends to climb several virgin peaks in the Tien Shan mountain range in Central Asia. Stretching across large tracts of China (Xinjiang), Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan, the Tien Shan range contains one of the highest concentrations of unclimbed peaks in the world. The expedition will focus on peaks in the Sary Dhaz range, a quiet, rarely frequented area, and far from the popular 7000m peaks in the area.

The 2009 Expedition will not only attempt more virgin peaks than the 2005 exhibition, but will also attempt the first ascent of an unnamed peak, thought to be 5000-6000m in height, which has been dubbed “The Razor” on a prior aerial reconnaissance. This would be the highest unclimbed peak attempted by a Singapore team

Climbing virgin peaks represent’s some of the boldest and imaginative mountaineering available in the world. It takes the climber into a realm of uncertainty and risk.

The management of KBA and all our staff wish them every success with their ascent of new peaks and a safe return to Singapore in August.

This is a very exciting development and we want you to be part of this exciting new course. Training will be delivered over 2 weeks in November 2009 with examinations on the 19th of November. The Pilot course is being conducted at selected providers in UK, UAE and Singapore, this is a fantastic opportunity to be involved with the development of the NEBOSH ICC course and be one of the first to achieve the qualification on successfully passing the examinations. The NEBOSH International Construction Certificate pilot course commences on Monday the 9th of November and culminates with a written examination (ICC1) on the 19th of November.

Work in the construction industry can be a very rewarding profession. Nevertheless construction remains a very hazardous industry that accounts for a large number of accidents each year. The NEBOSH International Construction Certificate is a specialist professional qualification that allows individuals to gain a good grounding in construction related health and safety and satisfy employers that they are up to the job.
