KBA takes ownership of new premises

In early March KBA took over new premises, just 5 minutes from the current office and training centre. The new building has over 14,000sqft that allow KBA and its subsidiaries to enhance the services provided. KBAT is establishing our new 60’’ twin lock DDC complete with compressor, HP air and Oxygen banks in its own dedicated room. Additionally KBA Engineering will be working from the SINGLAS accredited laboratory within the same complex. The high ceiling of the building provides an excellent location for the development of KB Access which we will be able to inform you of more details in our next newsletter. (Back to Index)

IMCA Surface Supplied Diver Assessments initiated in the Asian region

KB Associates Pte Ltd is the only approved company outside the UK able to conduct the IMCA Surface Supplied Diver Assessment of suitably experienced divers. In recent years this process has not been taken full advantage of. However, more recently this has changed with two companies (Daryakoosh Marine Company (Iran) and Shayne Marine Services (China) ) with planning to become IMCA Members and implementing the assessments for their divers. The assessments were carried out with strict compliance of the IMCA requirements. During the two assessments a total of 24 divers were assessed and issued with the IMCA Surfaced Supplied Divers certificates.

Previously in Iran the IMCA ALST course had been conducted along with the  Kirby Morgan / DSI basic helmet technician course.

Please contact us for more details regarding the IMCA Surface Supplied divers competency assessment of experienced divers. (Back to Index)

KB Access has IRATA audit – pending approval from the committee
First IRATA course run by existing IRATA member to test the resources of KB Access, known within our facility as KBX.  The first course, commenced on 11th May trained all levels as well as confirmed that the two level 3 personnel selected to perform training are coached in the correct techniques.  Our new facility has many options for easy and technical access training.  With the further help of Rescue Randy, our life size weighted dummy, unassisted rescue drills will become a demonstrated matter of course.  Rozani, our level 3 nominated person, already a veteran of two assaults on Mount Everest, will now put his wits and extensive experience towards the training of personnel to gain access to extreme locations.  We are all looking forward to the completion of the course, officially run by Mark Wright a leading training provider in the United Kingdom and to being able to serve the increasing demand for such training as well as develop special access techniques to suit individual circumstances.
